Does it really stay on the Internet forever?

Like if someone direct messaged someone on twitter and then both of them deleted the message, then no one could see it again right? On twitter btw

Once on the internet, always on the internet. When you delete something like that, the average person will never be able to see it, but traces of the message are floating around the internet. You have no worries unless some super hacker decides they want to search for your messages. Never post anything on the internet that you are unsure about.
