Why should anyone besides musicians & celebrities, have a Twitter account?
Is everyone suffering from attention deprivation syndrome or delusions of grandeur? I feel as though people who have Twitter accounts who aren't doing anything spectactular with their lives all the time is wasting time. People these days are literally followers of eafh other. If jumping off s bridge head first became a trend, the majority of the population of earth would be at the bottom of bridges all over the globe because of their lack of having a mind for themselves. People think that they are so important to where other people care about them going to take a shower, or going shopping, or twit gossiping about other people. Everyone wants everyone to look at them so they'll feel as though they matter. A celebrity really don't matter to me but at least they can travel the world & talk about stuff with meaning. They can tweet pictures of places around earth that isn't the norm.

Many people do go on twitter for attention. At the same time, what you have to remember is IT IS A SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE. People can meet new people and even get noticed. Just because you feel some way about it doesn't mean everyone else does. Plus, how are you supposed to find out what these celebrities are up to if you don't have a twitter? There are also lots of other non-celebrities that do unusual thing and deserve to show it to the world.

Wow. Could you be any more ignorant?

Twitter is not just a place for "celebrities" to give us lowlifes a glimpse into their lavished lives. Twitter is a place where aspiring musicians, artists, etc. can get recognized. A place where organizations and charities can get the support and attention they need. A place where people can meet new friends with the same intrests as them.

Yes, some people may abuse their freedom to say whatever they want. Yes, some people may provide less than necessary information. But your way of grouping everyone together as a group of incoherent imbeciles is just ignorant. Think about what you say before you say it.

Majority of the people on Twitter are celebrities and fans that support certain celebrities. A lot of fans tend to make a Twitter account to keep updated with that certain celebrities daily activities and its a way to interact with them and get noticed. Most people other than celebrities and people in fan bases are on Facebook because just about all those people that person knows has a Facebook account.
