How do you know if someone responded to your tweet on twitter?

I tweeted one of my friends on twitter and she hasn't replied but she's still online because she has new tweets. I click @ connect to check for new replies is this the right way to do it?? If not tell me the right way thanks.

Yeah it is, she hasn't tweeted you yet then if it isn't in your @ connect. But try going to her page and looking through her tweets, sometimes if someone has responded to your tweet it doesn't show up.

When someone mentions you with @ - you should see it under the "@" sign.
If she has not @mentioned you on the tweet, you will not be able to see it in you "@"
One way to see who answered your tweet is to go in your profile and to
expand the wanted tweet to see related activites to it.

When someone @ (mentions) you, it'll always appear in your @ Connect section. If you didn't get a tweet from her in that category, it means she hasn't replied yet.
