How do you put a dvd on Facebook with Windows Media Player?
Or another way? I have a burned DVD of me singing at my school concert that I'd like to put on Facebook! Thanks!

So far as i know, there is no way to manage that with Windows Media Player. However, you can convert and upload the files involved.
If your DVD is in the standard DVD format, it's not immediately suitable for uploading anywhere because it will be too big and consist of a large number of separate files. You need to convert it to another format, such as MP4, MPEG or AVI, which i've not tried for so long that i can't remember how but i suggest you Google for something like VOB2AVI or VOB2MP4. Once you've done that, you can, if you really want, upload it to FB. However, i basically never bother because it's easier to put it on YouTube, perhaps as an unlisted video if you'd rather it couldn't be seen by just anyone, and link to it via FB. FB is horribly clunky and rubbish with its own video uploading and i just wouldn't bother, to be honest. Of course, you could also use Vimeo or DailyMotion if you dislike YT for some reason. Be aware as well that you need to know that everyone in the video is happy for it to appear on FB and that the music needs to be sorted legally vis a vis copyright and performing rights or you might get the PRS coming after you. I hardly ever bother because of the last two, even on YT. Ads |
