Has someone made a Facebook account using my email?

Okay, this might sound a little strange. Even to me.

So basically I have this other yahoo account for my more professional emails, which I hardly ever use. I've logged in a couple days ago to find that someone has been using my email to make a Facebook account? Using my exact name, but it's a picture of another girl.

I've been getting requests from random people from all over the world, being tagged and whatever. Since I'm good at solving stuff like this (usually), I logged into Facebook, and requested for a new password so that I could deactivate that Facebook account for good. But when I logged in, it says 'your account is temporarily locked' and then with: We don't recognize the device you're using. Please answer a few security questions to keep your account safe".

So I accept and go to the security questions, and gives me options to look at my friends pictures and recognise them. BUT, I DON'T KNOW WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE. It also says 'provide your birthday', so I do, but then I DO NOT KNOW THE PERSONS DOB.
I'm so confused right now, it's hard to explain, I've changed the password SO many times, even the yahoo account password. Is this some sort of scam, it never works. It was logged in from a different device. I haven't a clue. Just help..

They may have done it by accident. I would contact Facebook and deactivate the account. You also had to confirm the Facebook account, by doing that it makes it active.
