How to get my Facebook app to stop crashing?

It's fine until I go onto a page or someone's profile to look at photos, and then it just crashes.
It's on my iPod- I have half my space available, no other apps running, I've tried to uninstall it and re install it, I've updated the app, and my iPod itself is up to date.
Why is it crashing when I try to look at photos, and how can I fix this?
I would turn off my iPod, but last time I did that, it powered off, and kept telling me to sink to iTunes. We finally got it to turn back on, but all my data was erased- photos, songs, notes, everything. So I really don't want to try that.

Try restoring your iPod on your computer and see if that makes a difference. If your iPod is old (like 3 or 4 years) that could be why too
