Facebook relationship status question?

So I'm in a relationship & my boyfriend accepted my relationship request & on my timeline it says _____ is in a relationship with _______ but then if you go to the about section in my profile it just says "In a relationship" but it doesn't show it's connect to him and then if you go to his profile it still shows he's single even though I watched him accept the request and I highly doubt he undid it. Why is this happening?

I think if you go on his profile he can accept to add you so it shows who he's in a relationship with, he also has to change it too for it to work
