Why am I unable to find this person on Facebook?

Read carefully, perhaps there is a bug with Facebook? I am unable to find someone on Facebook; however, my friend can find this person and view some content on their profile. My friend sent me this person's profile link and I can see content on their page and I am still given the option to send them a message or add them as a friend. My question is, how is it possible that my friend and I can see this person's page BUT only my friend can find this person through the FB search bar?
Once again, I am NOT blocked by this person because my friend sent me this person's profile link and I can see their profile and content. My question is, why could my friend find them through the FB search bar and I couldn't?

Probably because your friend has more mutual friends with that person.
