How to get more twitter followers?

I'm new to Twitter and want more followers. Any suggestions?

In the area where you can write stuff about yourself, you can write what interests you the most and usually people tweeting about this category would follow you hoping that you would follow them back.

Also, you gain more followers as you follow more people. Follow other people and categorize them on lists. Like news, fashionbloggers, sale, etc. Coz sometimes, people would like to follow your lists also.

First thing first! Why do you think anyone would follow you? Do you posses any special skills or knowledge to attract a massive follower?

One should reveal the answers on their profile/BIO page. This page will serve as the first impression of you on those prospective twitter followers.

Follow others with whom you share a common interest and participate by contributing to the community. Visit at-least 2 to 3 times per week and show that your account is active. This will preserve the base number of followers that you already accumulated.

However, there are paid services where your twitter account will be managed by a team of experts, or you can even purchase one of those accounts, with sizable followers, on sale.
