Why do some people on facebook messenger show a time stamp, and some show "on mobile"?
It's inconsistent and I was just wondering why sometimes it shows on mobile, and sometimes it shows a time stamp like 2h, 5m, etc. Does anyone know why it does this? Thank you

it means the person was last online or last sent a message 2hrs ago, if it shows a mobile then the person is on Facebook using a mobile device

The time stamps means the last time they were active on facebook. The mobile icon shows when the person is logged in using their mobile.
