What are the reasons you have left facebook?

According to me Facebook is like a chair, you sit and too much use of Facebook is a waste of time and waste of life , have a profile picture, write on walls and one interesting thing poked by someone you don't really know. And it doesn't help your business and your future. As relaxation? Good but not full time and a lot of people are doing that.

I did not want to join facebook, my account was created for me :/

The primary reason why I stopped using it was because I was fed up with the people on it. My so called "friends" were mostly people I didn't even know, didn't like and weren't really friends with. Sometime later, I done a lot of research on computers and programming. I learned a few things about facebook, private information being sold, apparently the so called "founder" stole the idea. Privacy on facebook is not very secure from what I've seen and heard. If you own a facebook account, you risk a lot of information and privacy. Everywhere you go, facebook this, facebook that. I'm just like STFU already!

So anyway, I learned how to program, and have written my own sites, private but at least they are mine

Other reasons why I do not use facebook and don't think it should be used either:

1. Too many immature people post ridicolous comments and updates that are not relevant to anyone. Such as when they go to toilet, they constantly post everything they do in their life. If you want to do that, fine, but it really isn't neccessary, and it's true that no-one cares what you are doing.

2. Too complex. I don't think kids under the age of 13 are ready to use something as complex as facebook. Or elderly people lol, it will take them all year just to set up an account, lol. If you ask me, it's not very user friendly.

3. People can easily stalk you, find out ANY information about you. I think facebook asks for way too much information. You don't need to share your address, mobile number or relationship status to be part of a social network, all you need is a username, password and a email address.

4. Too many annoying adverts. Heaven forbid people could just simply talk to their friends and family without so many annoying pop ups and god knows what else.

5. A waste of time. People have lost their jobs, students have failed their exams due to spending too much time on facebook.

6. People don't need facebook to "connect". How did you "connect" with people before facebook was created? Phones, letters, email. I have dodgy feelings about the future because of facebook.

In my opinion, facebook just isn't neccessary.

Edit: I have selective hearing and sight. If I hear about or see facebook outside, I totally ignore it, or I pretend I don't know what the f*ck it is. In my world, there is no such thing as "facebook".

Also, I don't have any friends, sexual partners or children, I'm an introvert, so it's not my thing anyway. I seek solitude.

So much family on there and I get tagged in photos of me which make me look bad. I try to delete facebook but deactivation is my only option and it just comes right back once I accidently open an app with my facebook already logged in and its back -_- I cant delete facebook permanently
