Rugby Question!! Those knowledgeable about pro rugby!?

There has recently been a small trend on twitter about the pro rugby player Jamie Cudmore. It goes on and on about how much money he has. I didn't think rugby players, even pro ones, made that much. Can anyone who knows a bit more about pro rugby, give me a logical idea to how much he makes??

Cudmore plays for Clermont in the French Top 14. The French players are probably the best payed in the world, but Cudmore wouldn't be amongst their top paid players -- that would be Sebastien Chabal.

European clubs don't tend to make their player-contracts public, but at a guess Cudmore makes somewhere in the range of 100 to 200 thousand Euros per season. It certainly wouldn't be far off that mark.

English clubs have a cap of £4.32 million for all players in the club. You pretty much start at £20,000 good people can earn up to £250,000

Jamie Cudmore Canadian a rugby union player in France, id say he makes up to about 100,000 a year but i think that trend is referring to the fact that he owns a wine bar and a night club in clermont where he lives or near there somewhere, not his salary because most players would make around that much a year i think the mightclub is called The Five
