When I go to Google Search & click on Facebook the computer freezes for about 30 seconds before going to FB?
log in page. Why? It does it on my computer and also the library computer.

Umm..
That is strange maybe Google is deliberately targeting you to make sure you don't use Facebook again (because Google hates facebook) and instead they want you to use one of their third grade social networking services like Orkut or g+
or perhaps instead of trying to access it through Google just type the URL instead
