Facebook message thing..?

Okay, so whatever it's called.
My mom wants to know how to get rid of the names that are on the sidebar of her Facebook.
Like, people she has talked to in the past, it's listed under her favorites on the chat thing.
Well, she got pissed off at a certain someone that was in her life, and now she wants him gone.
From everywhere.
She blocked him, and it always says that whole thing about if you block someone they will automatically be unfriended.
So, I guess what I'm needing to ask is...
How do you delete someone from the messaging bar?
Not the little circle thing that pops up. The actual bar that you slide right to left to see.

When you swipe right and see the list just under where it says "Create Group Chat" there is an Edit thing you can click. Try that.
