Facebook: Message failed to send, and help services not working?

I tried to send to a message to a friend and I got the notice in red Failed to send. So I found a helpsite of Facebook where you can enter a question for help and I pressed send to send that message and it wouldn't go through. Nothing happened.

Help??
I also can't edit anything in my profile
I can't send messages to anyone at all. Basically the site seems bugged. I have restarted my computer and re logged in and that didn't seem to help either.
