If you add a relationship status to FB, does it show on friends' news feeds?

I've never added my relationship status (single), and wanted to know that if I did, if it would appear on the news feeds of my friends. I've always been reluctant to do so because I don't want to alert friends that I'm just single. Thanks.

Yeah it does show up, but just go on your profile page and delete the post and it'll disappear off the news feed. You do realise that if you put the relationship status on even tho u delete it off the news feed, when people look on your info it'll show as single
