facebook app for iphone help?

When you get a new message on the iphone app a bubble comes up at the side, if i move this bubble to the x icon at the bottom will it say i have 'seen' the message, its just annoying me there and i want to reply later but just get rid of the bubble

No, if you delete the Bubble in the top right corner, it will just do... well nothing.
Unless you click on it, you can do anything with the bubble.

there is no other way to stop that. and that's annoying.
