This would be a fantastic time to invest, while the market is depressed.

Somehow the Republicans have to find a way to destroy social security if not that way then by bankrupting the Treasury.

The stock market will rebound as it always has in the past. Congress will never stop taking money from the social security fund so long as they have access to it.

Exactly. McCain can't keep his flip flops in order. He was against market regulations, before he was for them.

If all my money wasn't going into building a house, I'd LOVE to invest in this market.

Poster... I think they'll let you put extra money into the social security ponzi scheme if you want. You go do that.

Thank god they didn't get away with that. The only reason they wanted to do it anyway was so that their Wall Street friends would rake in the commisions.

That's why it's a scary plan.

And for those saying that now would be a great time to invest, you are correct. The only problem is that the average American doesn't have the money to make such investments due to the state of this economy. In situations like this, only the wealthy can purchase these great deals.

So the cycle continues...

Could you imagine how much MORE damage would have been done to people's Social Security if we had listened to that idiot? He knew the stock market was going down, and wanted to find a way for us to put our money in to prop it up.

No way should anyone be using their SS money in the stock market. I have friends who've invested, and are losing thousands of dollars in retirement that they'll never get back.

More flawed Republican economic ideas. Who in the world would vote for THAT again this year?
