What does it mean by (1m) followed by the mobile icon in Facebook for android? How is it decided?

I am using Facebook for android.when i go to the upper right button i get my contacts listed in black. Here some are listed with names followed by time like 1m or 2h (i suppose it as time gap of their last being active) followed by a mobile icon. which activities are included in the last active time? replying to a inbox or chat OR simply browsing for updates?
