They might be shy, or just jaded with facebook, or worried about privacy. Maybe, they would prefer to have face to face relationships.

I think that you can tell more a little more about personality by looking at profile pictures.

I personally find that people who are constantly on Facebook and constantly posting status updates are attention seeking whores with no friends and nobody really likes them, while people who rarely use Facebook have a lot of friends and popular and are usually doing stuff with friends and everybody likes them
