Hiding Facebook posts?

I have this friend that kinda posts things that i find a bit strange on my other friends wall. I saw that it's possible to hide comments from other people on someone else's wall. Im just curious if people will notice that it's gone, or that anyone will get notified of the comment getting hidden. also, can others see if a comment was hidden, eg, will there be something like "this comment has been hidden' that shows up. I only want to hide the strange comments cause even my friend has kinda been weirded out :/

Another detail-will people be notified of who hid the comment.
I really dont want people to know who hide the post, so if there is no notification of it being hidden, or something telling the person who hide their post, then if anyone knows if those occur let me know

They won't notice it unless they saw it and they noticed it it disappeared after you did it there is no FB message that indicates a post is hidden.
