That depends on the reasons for breakup and how they react to the situation. Some people can be civil afterwards, other cannot, there is no right or wrong answer to this question in my opinion.

But it depends on how nice they are after the break up

Yes with 2 of them, we're all adults we are all married (obviously not to each other!) but long parts of our lives were spent with them, I have no issues with being friends with my exes, we liked each other enough to be together, relationships don't always work out but that doesn't stop you from staying friendly!
