how stop peoples by sending me message on facebook ?

Hi , im asking this question because a close friend asked me to help her .
and she wants to stop peoples who she does not know to send her messages ( she wants only friends message her ,not strangers )
there is a way which I guess should be on facebook settings
please if you can guaid me ,give me a address where I can find out how to unactive message button for strangers , thanks for reading and thanks to person whom will help peoples .

i tried to figure that out like 10 times.. but according to the new fb.. U CANT. anyone can send you a message... it sucks

Click the lock icon beside your name on the black bar on the left of the screen, then click "Who can contact me?" then select strict filtering. Hope this helps

there's an option in facebook to do that..
when your on facebook,click the 'lock icon' on the upper right side.
there you can find message filtering...you can decide there who can message you or who can send you a friend request.

yes first block this strangers or unfriend them. and how to do this then check on internet or facebook's FAQ

go to setting and change just to allow friends to contact them, they will go to the other messages but she just can delete them, what she can do is just block the people who she does not want sending her messages! i know it is a pain, but it is the best way to do it!

you can't stop them to sending message but it irritate you too much you can report them .
