There is plenty of information available on the net. It depends on what impact you're examining though. Social Media Marketing can cut advertising costs to almost zero. So traditional advertising is having to change.
Smart advertising companies are using social media outlets of various types to bolster traditional campaigns. Hope this helps Ads |

I would try to create a more concise project and title. To say you are examining the impact of social media on advertising I ask, how? The impact of social media on advertising as a whole may vary greatly from marketing sector to sector. Also I'd question how the impact is measured. While many companies measure this in converted sales, others may measure social media in hits on their websites or twitter accounts. The more you can boil down your idea the more exact your can make the question, the more likely you will be to find a finite answer. Best of luck!

Enough information? Oh yes. However, a couple of questions which may impact the title or focus
- Do you have a particular business, size, sector or age group in mind? I belong to a highly successful business networking group (BNI - Granta Chapter in Cambridge) and we have members who recognise and adopt Twitter, Blog, Linked-In etc.into their marketing strategy with significant success. We share business information and thoughts every week and this area is increasingly under discussion. Secondly, Are you looking at joined up strategies" by which I mean examining businesses gaining maximum benefit by using multiple elements together (Twitter pointing to Blog moving to Web Page) Happy to provide any research info if I can be of help and good luck :-) |
