Does facebook still block you if you add to many friends.?

I used to have a problem with facebook preventing me to send message and add friends because I was adding alot of friends I actually knew. Since facebook has changed, I have not seen that problem as much, but I am still scared that If add a few that it will block me. The last time which was over a year ago was for 30 days.

If you send too many too fast, yes. They also can block you if you keep sending requests to the same people who don't want to be friends with you. I think that's bullcrap because the person who doesn't want to be friends should just block you, but they report you instead. It drives me crazy!
