i am the legal age for facebook and I'm really trustworthy, my mum has told me she trusts me but she thinks facebook is for "sad people" and she doesn't want me to end up like that, what should i do to convince her i should have it?

Set it up, see if her friends and family are on there or set it up on your phone.

listen to your mother - she's not 100% correct, but facebook really isnt what you think it is... and just because all of your friends have one doesnt make it cool... there is a lot of bullying and trolling going on and maybe your mother is just trying to protect you from all that drama

Your mama's right! I'm only 23, so I have no kids and no biased reason to back up your mom, but facbook is not that great. It becomes an addiction to the point where you end up taking pictures of your face for hours and posting them, or of your food, or of anything else that's in front of you. Those people have no lives and indeed are "sad." Your mom's a caring mom, but it's also very cool that your trust her enough to ask for her permission and not go behind her back! Maybe just work out an agreement that will be okay with both of you, because I'm pretty sure what I just said won't change your mind about wanting facebook, but just be responsible and work out a deal with your mamaSmile

so, you're at least 13 of age, and you still ask your mother for permission?

That's really weird, you should just do it anyway
