I have a crush on this guy but I can only contact him through Facebook?

So there's this guy I really like, and I may not see him for ages. I'm friends with him on Facebook, but we don't talk much. While I was at a point where I could see him (a performance) I looked at him quite a bit and he sometimes looked back. I really like him, what should I do? Should I keep quiet or say something?
Also, it says on Facebook he's single, so my hopes are up.

You most diffidently should say something. Otherwise, he may not realize you are flashing a green light. I would send a provocative note to get his attention; something that can be taken seriously or as a joke to help break the ice. Try sending an instant message "Hi, this is Jim/Jane. I found your watch on my night stand. Shall I pawn it or would you like it back? Retrieval could be expensive"
