How to break up with someone over text/facebook?

I know this is kinda shallow, but the guy and I haven't been dating that long in the first place, and he asked me out over Facebook, so I should technically have the right to break up with him over text as well. I usually don't date so I'm not sure on how to do all of -this-. I'm breaking up with him because 1, we're basically polar opposites with nothing to chat about, 2, he was basically dissing my religion. I understand if your beliefs are different, I don't mind that and I'm actually happy because of that. I don't try to shove my religion down anyone's throat, nor do I dis anyone else about theirs, but this guy's just a major douche about it, and 3 he's really violent and he's taking things way too fast.


So yeah, how to break up with him over facebook?
