Joining facebook group for school not working?

so i want to join the facebook group for my college...the groupsat____ thing, where it asks for the school email and then your fb pass. so i put in my email and then my pass and then it keeps giving me a pop up saying "Something went wrong. We're working on getting it fixed as soon as we can." and ive been trying again and again several times but to no avail =(
