I blocked someone on facebook and unblocked her again. I tried blocking her again but was told i cannot do?

that until after 48 hours. After the 48 hours I realized she does not even appear in my search engine though I did not get the chance to block her again. Could it be that the person noticed that I tried to block her and she blocked me first or is it possible that facebook blocked the person automatically and permanently from my site? Anybody with such experience?
