First time facebook user question?

So I started using facebook for the first time and I have question.

If you add a relationship like you add your sister as your sister will it only show up when they accept it or will it show up anyways?

I believe it will show up even if your sister does not accept the relationship request. There will be a link to your sisters Facebook page but it will not be active until she accepts the request.

Yes it will show up but the person whom you have added as your relative,their profile picture will appear as a shadow,and their name will appear in heavy black print. This will be the case until they accept your request to add them as family on facebook. Then their profile will appear as normal under the family section of your profile. Hope this helps!
