How do you change someone from an acquaintance to a friend on Facebook?
I changed someone from "friend" to "acquaintance" recently on Facebook but now want to change them back to "friend" but can't figure out how to do it. In general, I don't know how to change an acquaintance to a friend per Facebook category designtion. Thanks!

Go to her/his profile and hover your mouse to the "Friends" button (right next from the "Message" button) and you'll see the ACQUAINTANCE marked/checked and click it! Walahh.

1 Hover over their name or go to their profile page.
2 Hover over the box that says "Friends." 3 Click on "Acquaintances" so that the check disappears. |
