Can I forward specific mail to and from Hotmail to Facebook?

I have a specific friend's email address who I only talk to through emails on Hotmail.

I want to have their emails, alone, forwarded to my Facebook, and I want to be able to reply through the message center or chat and have it sent back to their email address. Is this possible?

Also, if not, can I just give them my facebook email address - would that do virtually the same thing I want it to?

Well, you should add them on Facebook, that would be more convenient. You can reply Facebook messages by just replying to the notifications you get on Hotmail. But, I have not seen any feature yet that forward emails to Facebook, or replying emails from Facebook.
