face book -how to get new friends?

I am new to face book.just joined,presently no friends,how to attract new friends worldwide,pl advise a simple solution.

Just Simple make Real simple Profile Daily post Status and start inviting friends. Use your own picture not fake or celebrity image

Think of who you know and then send them a friend request. Start out sending requests to people in your family or school or work.

Go under the "Find Friends" tab, or you can have Facebook tell you which of your contacts has a Facebook by importing them from your email address book.

There are few possible options.
1. Just add the people you know and then ask them to suggest friends.
2. Your details, email, mobile no. etc helps you to find friends you know.
3. Like different pages and add the people you liked.
