How can I get rid of my Twitter followers?

Ok, so some of my real life friends are following me on twitter & I dont want them to, I don't want to block them because they will notice it & will ask about it. I thought of creating a new account but the username I have is perfect & I dont wanna have any other one. Lol, I'm screwed, what to do?

There is nothing much you can do about it . You can just go to your followers list and remove them . But you've to keep doing this as not blocking your friend's means that they can still follow you .

You might create lists and add such followers to this list. Then you will see their tweets under that list.

I can think of 2 solutions:
1. Change your username and then delete your account. Then make a new account with the username you originally had.
2. Use "Unfollowers.me". Go to the tab that says "Followers" then you can click on a button that says "Force user to unfollow" and that does it.
