facebook add button problem?

when I try to add my friend it only has the message option, she asked me how to change it so I can add her, how do I do this?

She'll have to do the following:

In the top right corner of her Facebook page, next to the words Find Friends and Home, she should see an image of a lock with some lines.

Tell her to click on the lock icon. A pop up menu will then appear that says Privacy Shortcuts.

There will be an option that asks "Who can contact Me?" Get her to click on that option. It will then expand to show more options.

Under the new option that asks "Who can send me friend requests?" is an option that you can set to be "Everyone" or "Friends of Friends" If she chooses "Everyone" you should then be able to send a friend request.
