How do you set up your facebook profile picture so that it can't be clicked? (even to friends)

Change your security options to 'Only Me'

Even if you set your profile pic to "only me" everyone can see the preview version which on most modern day monitors is good enough to see it clearly. If in doubt post a pic of something other than your face.

Set the privacy of the picture to 'Only Me', but the preview itself is pretty large enough and you can't do much about that.
