Should I talk to this guy over Facebook?

Ive asked this question before but asking again lol
So I liked this guy a lot and we used to stare at each other in class but rarely talk, and when he did he was really polite and shy.
I want to talk to him but we've left school and I barely know him so I don't know what id talk about.....so should I?

Just say hi,and ask him if he remember's you? how he's been since school?what's going on in his life now? etc,I'm sure it will go well.
