Why do people add me on facebook but never want to interact?

I have added people on facebook and they have added me mostly just old friends from high school but they never wanna talk or do anything!

Who knows. Some just watch, some just want to relive the good old days, many reasons. No harm .... Or it could be like me - My gf made a page for me so I could 'talk' with my kids, but heck if I can get it to work ...

those are the people who want to pretend they are popular by having lots of friends - it doesnt mean they want to interact with you in any way, shape, or form

they just want lots of friends because they think it increases their social standing

i often see someone interesting, consider sending them a friends request, but then i see they have over 1000 friends, and realize they are just friend collectors, so then i dont send them a request
