My facebook keeps following pages that have arabic titles. hacked or is this common?

My brother's account did the same thing. I haven't added him as a friend yet on facebook. He made his account on MY COMPUTER the other day...

Is this a hack, a virus on my computer, or is this something facebook does automatically?

It's not common and should not happen. Go view your allowed apps on your page and make sure there isn't anything suspicious. If there is remove it right away.

I would also recommend creating a new email to link to your Facebook account, but if you can try to make it on another device other then your computer. This will save the account from becoming compromised if your computer has a virus.

If the problem continues you may want to look into the possibility of a virus/trojan/keylogger being on your computer. A trained professional can properly identify these through virus scans. Most traditional virus scans will not work. If this is the case it may be easiest to reinstall a clean version of your operating system.

I would start with the simple things first before jumping to conclusions.
