Is it illegal to hack a celebrity's twitter account but for a good cause?
Not to steal any information or curse or be rude to followers or put nudes, etc.... In the events of what's happening in Syria in the Middle East, I find it really hard to have the word spread about Assad's Massacres easily on Twitter and have it trend more and more. I feel that if I accessed a celebrity's account and tweeted "#FreeSyria" (Just that!) all his fans would either retweet or agree, or both! I'm positive of that. Plus, he can't say afterwards "Sorry, I was hacked, I didn't mean to tweet that.", since well that would mean he never was with the revolution and against the killing of hundreds innocent children and that would basically ruin his reputation. It's for a good cause and I intend no harm. Will it still be illegal?

That is illegal because hacking is still bad. You could actually get a celebrity to do it by contacting their manager or spamming them..

It's still wrong, it's their account. And by hacking your still invading their privacy.
That's like going on a normal person's account and doing the same thing.

Yes. Still illegal as hell. Maybe you can contact some celebrities and ask them nicely, you'd be surprised, maybe some of them will help you.

No, that is not legal. Why don't you look at the facts before jumping to conclusions? Just because you hear something on Al-Jazeera does not mean it is true; on the contrary, it is most likely false.

The "Free Syrian Army" terrorist group committed the Houla massacre.

The massacre occured just as the UN monitors were arriving in the area, and one day before the UN security council was about to meet on Syria. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that no sane government would carry out such an atrocity against its own people if it wanted to stay in power, and especially not with such politically disastrous timing.

In fact, most of the violence in Syria is being caused by the salafist terrorist groups that are being armed and funded by the US, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

These groups do not care about democracy or freedom. Some of them want to establish a wahhabi caliphate, others are paid foreign fighters - they are simply acting as proxies for external powers who want to see the Syrian government overthrown for geopolitical reasons.

Every day, these terrorist groups are blowing up buildings, sabotaging infrastructure, bombing pipelines and roads, and murdering people on a mass scale. Entire neighborhoods are being destroyed and terrorized, entire families are getting killed inside their homes, and random terrorist snipers are murdering people on the streets - both civilians and security forces.

The "Free Syrian Army" is kidnapping and torturing people every day. They murder people, mutilate their bodies and parade them around on the streets. They have executed civilians, kidnapped and shot pro-goverment bloggers, hanged people, dumped people into wells, killed people and thrown their bodies off bridges. They have killed thousands of civilians and over 3000 Syrian security forces.

They regularly commit atrocities like the Houla massacre and blame them on the Syrian army, and the western mainstream media goes along with it and broadcasts their lies, because that is their job. The media is owned by the military-industrial complex and is an inseparable part of the establishment. It is controlled by the very same interests that are trying to overthrow Syria, and it is the media's job to help facilitate that overthrow by manipulating public opinion.

The vast majority of the "news reports" about Syria on the BBC and CNN are fabricated unsubstantiated rumors taken directly from biased opposition sources and anonymous opposition "activists". And many times these sources are not even in Syria.

For example, the "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights", which is possibly the most quoted source in the media about the Syrian conflict, is actually run from an apartment in Coventry, England by one man who works directly with the British Foreign Ministry, and gets his all his information about Syria from "anonymous phonecalls". Meanwhile, sources actually on the ground in Syria who tell a completely different story are ignored.

The major news channels have been caught over and over again broadcasting complete lies, completely fake death tolls, taking old videos and claiming they are from Syria, and collaborating with terrorists to frame the Syrian army for massacres and killings. Opposition groups get their baseless claims plastered all over the western media, while viewpoints that differ even slightly from the opposition's narrative are automatically blocked out, regardless of evidence.

What you will never hear on the news is that the Syrian government has already met most of the demands of the legitimate opposition in Syria (those who are making their demands peacefully, and who are actually inside Syria, unlike the Istanbul-based SNC that is calling for foreign invasion).

The Syrian government has already implemented new party laws, new media laws, new election laws, a new constitution has been implemented via referendum, the emergency law has been lifted, general amnesty has been granted multiple times, one party rule in the parliament has been eliminated, etc.

Even with endless amounts of foreign money, bombs and guns flowing every day across the Syrian border, and even with the impending threat of US invasion, the situation is still managing to slowly get better. New local and parliamentary elections have already taken place (with 80% new members in the parliament), and presidential elections will come soon. The Syrian army has taken back most of the areas that were controlled by the terrorist gangs.

It is not legal, but it could potentially save many lives. Good luck!
