Facebook says I'm online every time I log in, even when my chat is offline?

I just found out that for the last couple of days my Facebook has been showing that I am online on the Facebook chat. When I go on Facebook I almost never go on chat, I always have the settings as "offline". But people have been messaging me like I'm online and I have no idea why! I'm not logged into Facebook on any other devices, and no one has access to my Facebook but me. Does anyone else ever have this glitch? Will it go away soon? I reset my password a lot, but I'm getting paranoid...

It's not other devices or a password problem don't worry. It's not just you. I don't know what the problem is but i'm having it too for the last week or so...The ONE thing i liked on fb was that i can always stay offline and chat. Now, this is frustrating...
i hope they fix it soon...
