If you block someone facebook and change your name will the new appear in old message sif they check it?
I dont want any contact with these people at all and i feel like they are a danger to me...I have changed all ym settings to friends only and blocked and deleted those i dont want there. I have messaged them in the past not sure weather they deleted them or not but say if they did not will my new name show or does it say facebook user? I dont want them to get others to search for me using the name to see if they where blocked.
so if they check there old messages and go to click on my message because they see my pciture has gone and they read the old messages my new name will show? alot of people are saying ym new name will show when they open old messages?

If you blocked them they won't even be able to see the messages because it's like you and all your comments, messages, etc. disappeared.

Ashley is right. Additionally, if you blocked them your name won't show on any results if they search for you

this is not true if y block someone but you have some conversation with them in ur inbox than u can see all the conversation except this u will fully disappear and no matter what u change on ur profile the one will not be able to see that

if you send them a private message and then change your name, they will see your new name
