no but when u delete the account, when ur friends click on it ur name will show up but it will be grayed out, secondly and most importantly when they click on it twice a message pops up to them saying, "the facebook profile has been temporarily disabled or deleted, u can remove this friend from your list"

yes others can see it , if your status has already been updated and it has already come in the newsfeed of those friend who were using FB at that moment they will be able to see it however if they try to comment or like on your status they will get the message something like "this post has been deleted blah blah..........."
