How to make myself unfindable on Facebook!?

So I always seem to get random friend requests from people off Instagram and stuff! I have no idea how they found me, but they did.
Also I want to become a police officer and have unfriended Some people on my friends list that weren't the best people to be on there, and well they keep sending me friend requests!
If anybody could help to make myself totally disappear from the seat engine/ search bar, that would be GREAT!

Change your date of birth to under 14 i think, you'll still have access to everything but people won't be able to find you on searches. You're friends will just think you've been fraped and won't think anything of it.
Or
Go into privacy settings and change the who can find me on facebook option from everyone to only friends.
