How does Facebook choose the nine friends shown on your timeline?
On the Facebook timeline, there are nine friends' pictures. Whenever I view my own timeline, it is always the same nine that are shown. If someone else views my timeline, the nine are always different. How does Facebook choose the nine that are always the same? Thanks

it's based on things you have in common, and how much you interact with them

that's why it's different when other people look at them - they have different things in common with them and have different interactions with the people on your friends list
