Facebook app keeps turning off?

I have a 4gen iPod touch. I've had the Facebook app since I got in 2 years ago. It is up to date but every time I open it, it closes. When I open it again, it works. This doesn't happen to any of my other apps. Why wont my Facebook app stay open the first time I open it? How do I fix it?

There is nothing that you can do to fix this. The Facebook app for iOS isn't made too well for your device. The iPod Touch 4 is running on the same hardware as the iPhone 3GS. iOS 6 itself takes a lot of power to run and Facebook poorly makes their apps so it takes a lot of power just to open it. This happens on my cousin's iPod Touch and it happened on my iPhone 4 quite a few times and it even sometimes happens on my new Galaxy Nexus.
