Was I blocked on Facebook chat?

I have my FB chat set to "turn on chat for only some friends...," so it only shows the 8 - 10 people that I like to talk to most often. Recently, one of my friends disappeared from the specified list. Prior to that, I had blocked and de-friended them, and deleted our previous messages, but then I added them as a friend again and restored them to my chat list. That being said, we haven't talked on chat for about three weeks and don't post on each other's walls. Did FB remove them because of the inactivity? Or is it possible that they blocked me from chat? They still show up on my favorites list on the mobile app, but it never shows them as online - just "active 1min ago."
