How to hide things on Facebook news feed?

I changed my profile picture on Facebook and I don't want it to show up in the news feed like it always does saying "*******- changed her profile picture" then show my new picture, I don't care if they go to my timeline and go through my pictures and see it, I just don't want it to show up in everyone's news feed. I had the option "hide from /my/ timeline" and I clicked it. But it didn't hide it from newsfeed it hid it from my timeline. So how to I hide it from newsfeed? Please answer ASAP! Thanks ^-^
