Should I join Facebook?
I've recently left school for the summer...and I'm going to a new school in August. I was the only person from my class who wasn't on Facebook... But I've always wanted to join! It would be a way to stay in touch with my old classmates, family and friends. Is it confusing at first...how long does it take to get used to? What's the pros and cons of Facebook?
Should I join? Answers much appreciated!

Should you join?
Absolutely

Is it hard at first?
Depends how savvy you are on a computer i guess - i never found it hard, it's pretty simple, you find your friends, add them, put information about you on it, a picture and you can send your friend messages either privately or write on their page and you can make your own status on your own wall - you can like fan pages and play games - its simple and fun

Pros
- stay in contact with friends you may not have contact with otherwise
- you can play games - always good if you are bored
- you can create events and invite people to them via Facebook - always very useful if you can't ask people to attend face to face
- you can like pages of things you enjoy like tv shows or games etc
- some websites offer facebook exclusives
- you can meet new friends easily on Facebook

cons
- can sometimes be dull if no one is using it much
- facebook sometimes change their privacy settings without telling you, so you do have to keep updating your own page's privacy settings at regular intervals (but i wouldn't let that put you off - the good outweighs the bad)

The only reason I use Facebook is for a instant messaging service and for memes. Honestly it isn't that great, also when Facebook has all your information and you decide you want to stop using Facebook, you can only 'deactivate' your account and your information is NEVER deleted.

Join if you want, it's nothing special just a way to keep in touch and up-to-date with friends and family. It's really simple and easy to get used to.
